VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
The INSTITUTE of ELECTRONICS ENGINEERS of the PHILIPPINES is encouraging all Electronics & Communications Engineers licensed under Republic Act (RA) 5734 to apply for conversion of their license to ELECTRONICS ENGINEER and later on upgrade to PROFESSIONAL ELECTRONICS ENGINEERS in accordance with the provision of the new Electronics Engineering Act of 2004, RA 9292.
RA 9292 provides for a more responsive and comprehensive regulation for the registration , licensing and practice of Professional Electronics Engineers, Registered Electronics Engineers and Electronics Technicians, repealing RA 5734, otherwise known as \"The Electronics and Communications Engineering Act of the Philippines\", and other purpose.
One of the requirements for the conversion to Registered Electronics Engineer and upgrading to Professional Electronics Engineer is membership in good standing with IECEP. All members are therefore advised to update their membership with IECEP as soon as possible in order to complete the requirements for conversion and upgrading of their licenses.
Delinquent members may avail of the on going AMNESTY program until APRIL 30, 2008 only. For details, call the IECEP-Caraga secretariat at +63.85.3412296 or the head office of IECEP.
